These terms apply to your use of monkeytyping.online (monkeytyping.online). By using the website or creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Practice use
The tests on this site are independent practice simulations for personal use. Results are not certified, verified or endorsed by any employer, agency or testing provider and must not be presented as an official qualification.
No guarantee of outcome
Meeting a practice target does not guarantee that you will pass an employer's assessment or receive a job offer.
Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and each account is for one person.
- Give accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- Usernames, display names, pictures and profile text must not impersonate anyone, mislead others, infringe rights, or be offensive, hateful or sexual. We may change or remove profile content that breaks this rule.
- Do not try to manipulate results, for example with scripts, automated typing or by tampering with the tool or its requests. Results that appear manipulated may be removed.
- The blue verified badge is granted at our discretion to members whose identity or achievements we have confirmed. It is not an employer certification and may be removed at any time.
Leaderboard
- Results of signed-in members with a confirmed email are ranked on the public leaderboard unless the member opts out in their profile. By staying listed you agree that your display name, username, picture, badge and best scores are shown publicly.
- Only your own typing counts. Using scripts, macros, automatic typing tools, another person to type for you, or tampering with the tool or its requests is not allowed.
- We may remove any result, hide any member from the leaderboard, or suspend an account when a result looks manipulated or breaks these terms. Our decision on leaderboard eligibility is final.
- Eligibility rules, such as the minimum test length and accuracy, may change, and positions are recalculated when they do.
- A leaderboard position is practice recognition only. It is not an employer certification and must not be presented as proof of an official typing score.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other members at risk, or is required to be removed by law. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.
Free service and future plans
Accounts and reports are currently free. We may introduce optional paid features in the future; if we do, prices and terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and existing free features will not be charged for without notice.
Content and intellectual property
The passages, reports, design and software of this site are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own practice. You may not copy, republish or sell the passage library or present it as your own.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, access accounts or data that are not yours, scrape it at scale, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Third-party links and advertising
The site may contain links to other websites and may display advertising. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites. Some links may be affiliate or sponsored links, which are marked accordingly.
Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
The site is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, including loss of saved results.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
