A physical keyboard gives the most realistic practice.

    What you will type

Legal secretary passages cover legal correspondence, case captions and docket entries, filing and service records, scheduling, client intake and billing records. They contain no legal advice. Legal support roles often set higher speed and accuracy requirements, so the default target here is 50 WPM at 95% accuracy.

Every name, company, address, account number and reference in the library is fictional. Passages are original and are not copied from any employer assessment. Use the Passage menu to choose a specific document, or leave it on Random.

    Setting your requirement

The default practice requirement for this test is 50 net WPM with 95% accuracy over five minutes. These are practice defaults, not hiring standards. If the job posting states a requirement, open Settings above the test and enter it.

    How the result is calculated

    • One word equals five characters, including spaces and punctuation.
    • Net WPM is gross WPM minus one word per uncorrected error per minute.
    • Accuracy uses character alignment, so a missed letter counts once instead of shifting the rest of the line.
    • Corrected mistakes are not errors, and text you did not reach before time ran out is not counted.

Why real employer tests may differ

Employers and testing providers use different passages, durations, error penalties and pass marks. This is an independent practice simulation. Actual employer tests, scoring rules, and requirements may differ.
