A physical keyboard gives the most realistic practice.

    What you will type

Data entry passages mix professional prose with the details clerks key every day: customer names and synthetic addresses, account references, invoice and purchase order numbers, quantities, unit prices and totals, shipment identifiers, payment amounts and audit notes. The invoice arithmetic in every passage adds up. Choose Form entry to key values from paper-style source documents into fields, scored by exact field accuracy and records completed.

Every name, company, address, account number and reference in the library is fictional. Passages are original and are not copied from any employer assessment. Use the Passage menu to choose a specific document, or leave it on Random.

    Setting your requirement

The default practice requirement for this test is 40 net WPM with 90% accuracy over five minutes. These are practice defaults, not hiring standards. If the job posting states a requirement, open Settings above the test and enter it.

    How the result is calculated

    • One word equals five characters, including spaces and punctuation.
    • Net WPM is gross WPM minus one word per uncorrected error per minute.
    • Accuracy uses character alignment, so a missed letter counts once instead of shifting the rest of the line.
    • Corrected mistakes are not errors, and text you did not reach before time ran out is not counted.

Why real employer tests may differ

Employers and testing providers use different passages, durations, error penalties and pass marks. This is an independent practice simulation. Actual employer tests, scoring rules, and requirements may differ.
